Upon arrival at Antigua’s V.C. Bird International Airport, you will be met by one of our greeters, who will help you collect your belongings and make your way through Customs. Our staff will escort you to the plane for the 12-minute flight to Coco Point’s own lighted on-property runway.
Ray and Denise Doherty, General Managers of Coco Point, will greet you upon arrival in Barbuda and welcome you to the lodge and your own special accommodations – one of Coco Point’s 34 tastefully appointed bedrooms in beachside cottages and buildings, each with a lushly planted veranda opening directly to the beach and the vast expanse of Caribbean blue.
Excursions to the nesting colony of rare frigate birds or other locations on Barbuda can be arranged by the front desk staff at Coco Point Lodge, along with picnics to neighboring beaches and deep-sea, reef, or bone fishing expeditions.
Other resort activities include sailing, snorkeling, waterskiing and windsurfing; sea kayaking and tubing; tennis on two all-weather courts; bird-watching and informal trap shooting.
Plus, idyllic swimming in calm, clear reef-protected waters, long walks along the shore in search of delicate seashells…
Or blissfully doing nothing at all.
Guest comfort is enhanced by the friendly, attentive Barbudan staff, many of whom have been with our family-owned resort for more than a generation.
Lobster and other local seafood, fresh West Indian fruits and vegetables, and an enticing array of fine imported wines, meats and cheeses, are expertly served in the restaurant’s tropical garden setting.
And, when the sun finally sets, there’s always a private-party atmosphere at the delightfully casual seaside bar and lounge, in anticipation of the fabled “green flash” on the horizon…
The end of another perfect day at Coco Point Lodge.
